The Lucky Dress!
Thanks, love!
1. I am hyper organized. Like, I cannot stand to have things messy or cluttered. I can’t get any work done until everything is neat and tidy.
2. Having said that, I absolutely hate folding and hanging laundry. I don’t mind actually washing and drying it, or even ironing, but as far as putting it all away…I’m always tempted to just leave it in the laundry hamper.
3. This is going to make me sound absolutely crazy, but, whatever. Y’all will appreciate the fact that I notice these things. William and Kate were engaged exactly 7 months after my husband and I, married 6 months before, and had their first child 5 months after…Like, we’re obviously on a collision course of similarities.
4. My cat is named Abigary. Sounds weird, right? We rescued him/her from a snowstorm and thought he/she was a girl and named it Abigail Tabigail. ‘She’ ended up being a fixed male, so my husband decided to call him Abigary. (pronounced like abby-gary).
5. I didn’t get my driver’s license until I was 22! When I turned 16, my mom didn’t want me to, and then it just never happened until I really needed to get it. I was terrified of driving for so long, but now it’s one of my favorite things to do.
Thanks again!

#TBT Replikated: Kate’s Preppy Olympic Style

For this week’s replikated post, I thought we’d go back in time a little bit to around a year ago when the royals were enjoying the 2012 Olympic Games. Most of you will remember Kate’s effortlessly chic casual wear throughout the games, and this week’s post celebrates my personal favorite look.

The Duchess joined much of the rest of the family to cheer on cousin-in-law Zara Phillips as she strove for a medal at the Equestrian Dressage event. The royal family looked fantastic in all of their dressed-down splendor, but it was Kate who stole the show. Her wavy hair was made even more voluminous than normal by the humidity and she spent much of the afternoon laughing and looking quite happy and relaxed with her husband, Prince William and brother-in-law, Prince Harry.

Though the jeans, blazer, and wedges look was quickly becoming her uniform for all of her appearances, this particular version of the outfit managed to look fresh and even a little bit luxurious. Her Smythe blazer, a favorite of hers, was paired with a classic breton stripe tank and thrifty Zara slim fit jeans. Simple pearl studs, Stuart Weitzman ‘Corkswoon’ wedges, and a Russel & Bromley navy blue clutch finished off the look. The Duchess managed to pull off a casual ensemble that still very much retained a ‘royal’ quality. It also, however, had a royally large price tag. As you can see in the picture below, it cost quite a bit to put this whole look together.

Luckily, getting a similar look doesn’t have to break the bank. This look is classic and can work for a ton of different occasions. You could even swap out the jeans with trousers to create an ensemble that would be perfect for the office. A navy blazer is a staple for your wardrobe and can be worn with so many other items, that it will pay for itself in no time.

Thanks for reading! As always, if you ever have a request for a specific Kate look, all you have to do is ask! Hopefully, we will have new pictures of the Duchess next week, along with a new outfit to replikate!

The Duchess, who will not join her husband at the two events, has yet to announce when her first engagement after giving birth will be, but Clarence House has said this will happen in a matter of weeks rather than months.
