Kate watchers were certainly spoiled last week. The Duchess capped off a very glamorous weekend with a trip to Cowarth Park to cheer on her husband and brother-in-law as they competed in a charity polo match. In comparison to the lust-worthy gowns we had seen her in just days before, the look was much more casual and subdued, but was still very “Kate”.

The ‘Rebecca’ dress by designer Libelula was floaty and summery, if not a bit drab color-wise. Many people were not impressed by the dress and considered it too matronly and shapeless. I certainly wouldn’t count this look to be among Kate’s best, but it’s far from awful. This type of silhouette is perfect for working girls and would be darling worn on younger readers heading to class. Really, the least attractive thing about this dress, in my humble opinion, is the color. While the Duchess generally looks stunning in blue, the gray tone of this particular dress made her seem a bit tired looking.
While the version of the dress that Kate sported is currently sold out, it is still available in a black velvet version (in limited sizes). I believe it is only available to UK customers and is on sale for £299.00 (which is approximately $476.00)

If you’re looking for a more affordable alternative, you might be interested in the Midi Shirt Dress in Floral Print from Asos, available for $69.58, or the Blue Stitch Shoulder Denim Dress, for £35.00/$59.00 from Dorothy Perkins. (The link will take you to the United States version, but if you just click ‘Change Country’, you can be redirected).

As for the shoes, the Duchess made her legs look like a million dollars in her Stuart Weitzman Minx Espadrilles. They were the perfect choice for a day on the fields and showed off Kate’s incredibly toned legs to perfection.

They are the perfect shoe for summer and though they are quite high, should be easy to walk in due to the platform styling. Surprisingly, they are still available in many sizes from a variety of retailers.

We found them through Amazon.com for $395.00. There is also another color of the same model currently on sale for $295.00.
Although the originals are gorgeous, there are plenty of similar pairs to be found for much less. The Cross Stitch Strappy Raffia Wedge from Charlotte Russe is currently marked down to half off at $17.49. Forever21 has a similar pair available, The Woven Wedge Sandal, for $32.80. Finally, Asos is carrying the Oasis Wicker Wedges for $95.67
